Training Course Terms and Conditions
These Terms and Conditions apply to all training course bookings made with ChamberCustoms, part of the British Chambers of Commerce (“ChamberCustoms”).
1. Definitions
“ChamberCustoms” refers to ChamberCustoms, part of the British Chambers of Commerce.
“The Customer” refers to the individual or organisation booking the training.
“Contract” is formed once written confirmation is received via email, or when a booking is made and payment is completed through our website.
2. Payment Terms
Payment must be made either by card (for website bookings) or by Bank Transfer (for invoiced bookings).
Payment terms are 21 days from the date of invoice or by the course delivery date, whichever is sooner.
Invoices will only be issued with a valid purchase order or written approval from the Customer.
ChamberCustoms reserves the right to withhold access to training if payment is not received within the agreed terms.
3. Member Rates
A discounted member rate may be available to companies that are members of any accredited Chamber of Commerce in the UK, or of any accredited global British Chamber.
Where a member rate has been applied but the attendee is not eligible, the full standard rate will be charged.
4. Cancellations, Substitutions and Transfers
4.1 Standard (Open) Courses
Cancellations made more than 30 days prior to the course start date will be eligible for a full refund.
Cancellations made between 15 and 30 days before the course start date will be eligible for a 50% refund or credit towards a future course.
Cancellations made 14 days or fewer before the course start date will be subject to the full course fee, and no refund will be given.
Non-attendance without prior cancellation will be treated as a cancellation within 14 days and will not be eligible for a refund.
All cancellation requests must be submitted in writing to: teams@chambercustoms.co.uk
Substitutions are permitted at any time up to and including the day of the course, provided the total number of attendees remains the same as originally booked.
4.2 Bespoke or In-House Training Courses
Once payment has been received, bespoke courses are considered non-cancellable, as preparation and content development will have commenced.
If a bespoke course has not yet been delivered and cancellation is requested, a 50% refund may be considered, at the sole discretion of ChamberCustoms.
Payment of the invoice will be considered as acceptance of our terms and conditions.
All cancellation requests must be submitted in writing to: teams@chambercustoms.co.uk
4.3 Transfers and Reschedules
Customers may request to transfer a booking to an alternative course date; however, transfer requests are subject to availability and approval by ChamberCustoms.
Where a transfer is possible:
Requests made more than 15 days before the original course date may be accommodated. An administrative charge of 10% of the original course fee will apply.
Requests made 14 days or fewer before the original course date may be subject to the full course fee, at the discretion of ChamberCustoms.
All transfer requests must be submitted in writing to: teams@chambercustoms.co.uk
Only one transfer is permitted per delegate per booking. Additional transfer requests may incur further charges or be declined.
5. Exceptional Circumstances
In exceptional cases (e.g. illness, force majeure), ChamberCustoms may offer a credit or transfer to a future session. Such cases will be reviewed individually, and supporting evidence may be requested.
6. ChamberCustoms’ Commitment
We are committed to delivering a professional and supportive experience. We will:
Treat all delegates with respect and professionalism.
Provide support during the training programme.
Respond promptly to any concerns or complaints raised.
7. Customer Expectations
We ask that customers:
Are committed to the course and engage constructively.

Raise concerns early so we can address them effectively.
8. Data Protection
Both parties will comply with applicable data protection legislation.
ChamberCustoms acts as a data processor in relation to personal data received as part of course bookings. We will only process this data as required for course delivery and in line with our Privacy Policy.
The Customer agrees they have obtained all necessary consents to share delegate information with ChamberCustoms. Further details are available in our Privacy Policy: https://www.britishchambers.org.uk/page/privacy-policy
9. Disclaimer and Use of Materials
The course content and materials provided are accurate at the time of delivery but may be subject to change as international trade regulations evolve.
Recording of training sessions is strictly prohibited.
Training materials are licensed for internal use only by the company that purchased the course. Redistribution or sharing externally is not permitted.
10. Liability
ChamberCustoms accepts no responsibility for loss or damage to personal belongings during the training.
ChamberCustoms shall not be liable for indirect or consequential losses (e.g. loss of profits, goodwill, or business interruption) arising from the use of our training services.
In the event that ChamberCustoms must cancel or reschedule a course, we will offer a refund, credit, or transfer to a future date.
11. Third-Party Delivery Partners
The British Chambers of Commerce Foundation Award in International Trade courses offered by ChamberCustoms are delivered by UK-accredited Chambers of Commerce.
Where this is the case:
ChamberCustoms will handle all course bookings and payments.
The course will be delivered by the relevant Chamber training provider, who will contact the Customer directly with joining instructions, course materials, and any necessary pre-course information.
ChamberCustoms acts solely as the booking and administrative coordinator for these courses. Responsibility for the delivery, content, and associated materials rests with the delivering Chamber.
By booking, the Customer agrees to ChamberCustoms sharing their registration details with the relevant delivery partner for the purposes of course administration.
ChamberCustoms is not responsible for any delays or issues in delivery caused by the third-party provider but will assist in facilitating communication and resolution where possible.
12. Acceptance of Terms
Payment of an invoice or payment through our website will be considered as acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.
